Indiana is truly a one of a kind. The best temperment , natuarl jumping ability and his beautiful colouring.

Indiana was purchased in 2002 to become my showjumper that I was going to compete on once I had put a fair bit of weight on him as he was quite slim.

After just about a year Indiana was in fantastic show condition, when on the 23rd November I found him with a very severe wound on his back offside leg after he had rolled in the fence.

We had the vet come around and he was then taken to Larkhill vet in Serpentine, where he stayed for 9 days. I then decided to take him home so I could look after him myself. It was a feat, as he had to be FULL leg bandaged, which i had to change every day as it got quite a foul smell if you left it any longer and put in a stable with complete rest. First i hosed down his leg to cool it, then i applied vinager to acidify the area as a bacteria called pseudomonas was growing, next was a betadine srub. Then went on a guaze patch to cover the entire wound, then a cotton bandage to hold it in place. Then the entire leg was wrapped in 1 cotton wool roll, then 3 elastoplast sticky bandages. The whole process took about an hour and a half. Pictures below are when ibrought him home, so would be 11 days old.

Indiana was a good sport about it. At the end of this it cost me around $4000, in vet bills and a whole lot of bandages, cotton wool and antiseptics.

Oscar was given this name when we first got him as he was always grouchy so we thought it would be a perfect fit. Oscar is a very laid back boy that takes everything in his stride.

Oscar was quite a sucessful race horse in the past but was finished after he bowed a tendon.
