We will be operating under the registered name of "Graffitti Paint Horses".
We would like to breed PAINT, PINTOS, AND QUALITY WESTERN MOUNTS.
Our dream since as long as I can remember was to be able to breed coloured horses. We love the fact that two will never be the same. Coloured horse have turned the hooves at anything, showjumping, hacking, eventing, cutting, and pleasure riding.
Western is a way of life. There aren't to many horses out there that dont look good in western tack. Rodeo's will be an integral part of our horses life as it will prepare them for anything that may arise and could spook them and someone getting hurt.
The most amazing part about western horses was that their intelligence led them to practically think for themselves when working to wrangle cattle and steer. Rather than the cowboy simply using the horse as a mount the two would work together as a team as the horse would use its natural instinct and independence. All and all, western riding and western horses were designed and bred to make the art of riding easier and more leisurely for both the old and modern cowboy.
I have been very fortunate in the decade that I have been riding to have had many oppertunities to ride some very successful horses for some affluent people in the horse world. I have ridden for Judy Gibbons and Fiona Graetz. I first started out at Metropolitan Riding School in the now Seville Grove and rode there for 3 years before i got a job working with ponies for Neryl Simmons of Aryline Australian pony stud.
I then went on to lease a Anglo Arab gelding, Summerset Cairo but unfortunatly he wasn't suitable for what i was wanting to do. I then stumbled upon a Paint Gelding in the paper and he sounded like a good match. I went out to Pinjarra and rode for a few minutes and i was sold.
In 2002 we purchased our first property in Serpentine which was 8 acres of trees, birds and a lovely little cottage house. We have many fond memories of riding in the lake that was created after all the winter rain.
Our next property will be out in the country somewhere on a few thousand acres running several hundred head of Brahman or Murray Grey cattle for beef.
